Minutes of the meeting held Friday, 29th January, 2010.

Roll Call of Teams.

Horbury W.M.C. were not represented and will now receive a 3 point deduction. White Rose S.C. were also not represented.

Minutes of Last Meeting.

The minutes of the last meeting have been circulated and are taken as a true record proposed by Hanging Heaton WMC and seconded by Earlsheaton Central.

Secretaries Report.

East Ardsley General W.M.C. reported that they have now transferred their team to East Ardsley Conservative Club, Chapel St. East Ardsley, Wakefield, WF3 2AA Tel. No.01924 824135. This is situated directly opposite their previous club.
Earlsheaton Cons. reported that their telephone no. had now reverted to the no. in the handbook and that the no. displayed on the internet was no longer in use.

Competitions Secretary's Report.

Most of the competition matches have been completed and all unplayed ones should be played by 6th February. All clubs with players still involved will receive the relevent competition sheets. All competition details will also appear on the internet site. The secretary confirmed that competition results could also be sent to his personal e-mail.

Any Other Business.

The committee received a letter of complaint about events occurring at a recent handicap match. It was explained that all players receive a handicap mark based on their league performances from the previous season so the fact that a player has not played a league game was irrelevant. However it was agreed that correct snooker etiquette should be applied by all players and spectators at all matches and that talking and chalking of cues whilst your opponent was taking a shot would not be tolerated.
The committee agreed to try to arrange a date for the presentation night as soon as possible.
