Delegates Meeting - 31st October 2008

Minutes of the meeting held Friday, 31st October, 2008.

The delegates held a one-minute silence in respect of former long-serving Ossett & District league player and referee Jeff Turton who sadly died recently.

Roll Call of Teams.

Alverthorpe Cons and Dewsbury I.N.L were not represented and are reminded that missing any further meetings will result in a 3 point reduction.

Minutes of Meeting.

The minutes of the last meeting having been circulated were taken as a true record, proposed by Ossett Central and seconded by Westborough.

Secretaries Report.

All delegates were given an up to date league table, which is also on the web site. Delegates were also given a list of late registrations and handicap amendments. Please add to this list of late registrations:- Dewsbury & Savile, D. Preston –25* and White Rose (B1), P.Moore 10*.
Also Incorrect Handicaps:- Hanging Heaton Golf (C2), K. Wood should be +25, and Brookhouse, A. Whitworth should be +8.

Competitions Secretary's Report.

All Delegates were given 2nd round team knockout see competition page for Team Knockout 1st round handicap competitions

Any Other Business.

The committee received a letter from Hanging Heaton Cricket Club in response to reversing the result of a frame against Moorend, it was decided that a final decision would be deferred until the November meeting when the player and referee involved would attend.

Dewsbury and Savile registered a new player and claimed he should play as a new player off +10, having not played for 15 years off an unknown handicap. Investigations revealed that he had played 8 years ago earning a handicap mark of –25. The delegates voted that the frame he had played and won should be awarded to St. Michaels and he should resume on a mark of –25.
