Delegates Meeting - 26th September 2008

Minutes of the meeting held on Friday, 26th September, 2008.

The delegates held a one-minute silence in respect of former long serving Ossett & District league member Reuben Smith who sadly died recently.

Roll Call of Teams.

Thornhill Edge WMC was not represented and are reminded that missing any further meetings will result in a 3 point deduction.

Minutes of Meeting.

The minutes of the last meeting have been circulated are taken as a true record proposed by Hanging Heaton CC and seconded by Ossett Central.

Secretaries Report.

All delegates were given an up to date league table, which is also on the web site. Delegates were also given a list of late registrations and incorrect handicaps. Please add to the late registration list:-

Competitions Secretary's Report.

All Delegates were given entry forms for Individual /Pairs Handicap to be returned to the October meeting, Individual/ Pairs Scratch and Veterans to be returned to the November Meeting.

Any Other Business.

The committee received a complaint from Moorend regarding an incident in their match against Hanging Heaton CC. In the final frame with only the black ball left in play the Hanging Heaton player placed 2 red balls on the table covering the pocket in which the black could be potted. The referee removed the 2 balls and told the players to play on Hanging Heaton went on to win the frame. The referee later complained that he should have called a foul and Moorend would have won the frame. After consulting referee John Crowther it was put to the floor to make a decision which was unanimous in favour of Moorend. Results have been amended accordingly.
